Parenting doesn’t always begin the way we imagine. Sometimes parenting is just a whole lot different to what we imagined and prepared for and we just need a little extra care and support to adjust to these new changes and get to know this brand new family member. 

For others, there can be unique challenges that come with difficult starts, whether it’s navigating a traumatic pregnancy or birth, facing the complexities of a NICU or Special Care Nursery stay, parenting a baby who needs immediate medical intervention or adjustment to a new diagnosis. 

BUBs counselling service provides a compassionate and supportive space for parents to process these experiences. We are here to support you with: 

• Support following challenging beginnings: Support for parents facing traumatic pregnancies, births, NICU/Special Care admissions, medically complex babies and adjustment to a new diagnosis.

• Infant mental health support: Support for babies and their parents following hospital discharge, focusing on the infant's emotional and relational needs, helping them process their early experiences and fostering a secure and nurturing parent-infant relationship.

• Perinatal mental health support: Support for parents with anxiety, depression, or trauma during pregnancy and postpartum.

• Attachment difficulties: Support for parents who are finding it difficult to bond with their baby and would like support as they get to know their baby and themselves in this new role of parents. 

• Loss and Bereavement: Supporting parents following still birth or infant death. Supporting Babies 0-3 years following the death of their parent.
